HabitTracker - Gurukrit ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

We collect information that you voluntarily provide when using the app, including:
• Habits and Tasks: Data regarding habits you create and their completion status.
• Journal Entries: Text and notes you write in the journaling section.
• Mood Logs: Data related to your daily mood tracking.


b. Health Data (Health Connect)

 
HabitTracker integrates with Google Health Connect to read your step count data.
• Usage: This data is used solely to display your progress within the app and help you track fitness-related habits.
• Storage: We do not upload your health data to any external servers. It is processed locally on your device.
• Privacy: Our use of information received from Health Connect will adhere to the Health Connect Permissions policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
 

c. Location Information
 

If you grant permission, the app may access your device's location (GPS).
• Purpose: To tag your journal entries with a location or provide context for your habits.
• Control: You can enable or disable location services at any time through your device settings.
 

2. Data Storage
 

All personal data (habits, journals, mood logs) is stored locally on your device using a secure database. We do not maintain a central database of your personal entries, and we do not have access to your private notes.

Health data is not shared with third parties. 


3. Permissions We Request
 

• INTERNET: To provide external resources or potential future sync features.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS: To send you reminders for habits, journaling, and mood tracking.
• SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM: To ensure your reminders are delivered exactly on time.
• HEALTH_DATA (READ_STEPS): To sync fitness progress from Health Connect.
• LOCATION (Fine/Coarse): To add location context to your logs.

 

4. Third-Party Services
 

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs that track your behavior across other apps.

 

5. Security
 

We value your trust in providing us your personal information, and we strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

 

6. Children’s Privacy
 

Our app does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
